Financial Administrator

Snow Queen Winter Management, one of Vancouver's largest winter service providers, and its sister companies are jointly seeking a Financial Administrator with experience to join our team.

This is a **contracted** position that provides some flexibility and can be done remotely with the exception of weekly in-person meetings at our Tri-City office and cheque pick up and deposit duties.
Hours are estimated and will vary depending on the time of year (accounting cycles) and winter storms (customer invoicing & contractor payouts). From November to April we are estimating 30 - 60 hours per week and from May to October 10 - 20 hours per week, which averages out to approx. 30 hours per week on an annual basis.
**Pay Rate**:Starts at $26 per hour based on experience. _There may be a lower training period pay rate._
**The Financial Administrator reports directly to the CEO once training is complete and performs a variety of functions, such as**:
- Full cycle accounting
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Collections
- Management other team members
- Oversight and execution of invoicing
- Oversight and execution of Contractor Payouts & Expense Reimbursement
- Preparing Year-End Working Papers for External Accountant
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Government & Regulatory Agency Filings
- Weekly cheque pickup & deposits
- Cash flow management
- Monitoring departmental budget controls
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting as needed
- Collaborate with team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

- Using QuickBooks Online, G-Suite, MS Excel, MS Word
- Using CRM & Project Management Software (Hubspot & Basecamp)
- Using Direct Deposit Systems (RBC Express)
- Working with C-Level Executives at a Start-Up or Developing Company
