Division 26 Inc is hiring We care currently seeking an electrical foreman to join our growing team for projects and service at Suncor MacKay River near Fort McMurray
As an electrical foreman you will be expected to work closely with the client representatives to provide support in the overall management of the electrical department for the assigned project. Provide technical guidance as needed to subordinates as needed as well as any other duties as required
- Valid class 5 drivers license required
- 6 and 1 schedule
- 12 hours shifts
- Day shift/Night shift
- Overtime after 40 hours/week
- Camp accomodations available

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING**: Because Division 26 Inc. is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.
- Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Be the point of contact for the client representative
- Comply with company, Federal, Provincial, and local safety, ethics, and environmental rules, regulations and policies while performing duties.
- Assist client representative in resolving issues with regard to day to day operations.
- Assist client representative in meeting production schedule, maintaining resources and training needs within the dept.
- Provide technical assistance and oversee the workforce in the electrical department.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards/defects to ensure compliance with codes.
- Monitor your work performances and productivity.
- Manage employees and plan ahead to have their crew work safe.
- Confer with client representative to coordinate work schedules and prioritize work.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
- Good troubleshooting skills, repair abilities and installation skills
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Directly and/or indirectly supervise employees assigned to the electrical dept. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

**Experience**: Three to five years supervisory experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must be able to manage a crew of individuals to get the job done efficiently, effectively, and safely. Requires working knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices involved in the installation, maintenance, repair and alteration of electrical systems.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be physically and medically qualified to wear all required personal protective equipment, as prescribed under Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. The employee must be able to work above ground at heights of a minimum of 50 feet aloft and/or working from scaffolding and/or man-lifts while working with machinery; in confined spaces and withstand extreme heat and cold in an outside climate or confined space.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, continual loud noise, and other hazards found in a construction/industrial environment. Rigorous compliance with safety procedures, policies, and personal safety equipment requirements is therefore mandatory.
