**Job Description**:
The main responsibilities of the Estimator-Project Manager involve conducting a detailed study of various automation projects and the development of submissions for control panels of any level of complexity (starters, contactor boxes, programmable logic relays, PLC, etc.) for the company's customers.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Carry out the detailed study of projects based on plans and quotes (submissions);
- Accurately write quotes and tender projects according to company standards;
- Perform calculations and estimate the quantity of materials needed for projects;
- Estimate as precisely as possible the cost of labor assigned to automation projects;
- Communicate with the customer to obtain details of their needs and ensure compliance with their specifications;
- Contact suppliers and request prices to prepare quotes;
- Develop good business relationships and good communication with customers and suppliers;
- Maintain constant links with staff from other teams involved in various automation projects or the preparation of current submissions;
- Provide the various departments concerned with all necessary and up-to-date information to carry out mandates;
- Participate weekly in the Sales Management meeting;
- Collaborate in planning the order book and priorities of sales and operations departments;
- Participate with the technical department in product innovation and the evolution of different practices in the field of automation;
- Follow up with existing customers and/or ensure excellent after-sales service;
- Occasionally promote the company's activities to customers;
- All other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- DEC in electrical engineering (industrial electronics technology) or AEC in industrial automation and instrumentation or DEP in electromechanics of automated systems;
- Have three (3) to five (5) years of relevant technical experience;
- Any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
- Knowledge of the Quebec electrical code as well as the various standards (CSA, UL, etc.);
- Functional knowledge of English;
- Good knowledge of control and automation, electricity, and/or electronics;
- Basic knowledge of machine safety;
- Knowledge of Servicentre and different programming languages (an asset);
- Ability to understand and analyze customer needs;
- Know how to interpret plans and electrical process diagrams;
- Ability to read and write documents, plans, and work instructions and ability to explain them to designers, programmers, panel fitters, or other company stakeholders;
- Ability to intervene or manage several projects or mandates at the same time and within short deadlines;
- Good team spirit, professionalism, attention to detail, autonomy, precision, accuracy, analytical skills, resistance to stress, and interpersonal skills;
- Have good interpersonal communication skills and an ability to understand certain business issues;
- Stay on top of technological developments in the field.
