POSITION TITLE: Fund Development Coordinator
SALARY: $45,000-$50,000 / annually
POSITION STATUS: 2-year contract until June 19, 2025
TENTATIVE START DATE: June/July 2023
HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position with flexible work hours
LOCATION Hybrid
Reporting to the Executive Director, and working alongside the Harmony Place team, the Development Coordinator will work to enhance our community through the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising plan that advances the organizations mission.
**As the Fund Development Coordinator you will**:
- Develop, implement, and monitor a multi-year fundraising plan, including Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Events, in line with the organizations overall strategic plan
- Ensure that objectives and timelines for all fundraising programs are being met and tracked
- Manage the strategy and execution of direct and digital appeals and stewardship, including strategies for new donor acquisition to develop a robust and diversified funding base
- Develop and execute a donor recognition initiative ensuring appropriate and timely acknowledgements
- Maintain a donor database including entering data accurately and creating reports ensuring confidentiality is maintained
- Oversee all aspects of event coordination and implementation for organizations events including annual signature dinner dance and other community events
- Assist with all aspects of corporate and foundation partnerships including grant research and writing, maintaining a grants calendar, preparing organizational documents and reports foundation submission
- Collaborate with the Harmony Place team to understand and contribute to the campaign and social media schedule, developing corresponding donor information and activities, while providing website and social media content

**Qualifications and key attributes you have**:
- Degree/ Diploma education and related experience in Communications, Fundraising, Marketing or related field with a CFRE designation considered an asset
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- A solid knowledge of the funding landscape in Ontario (Canada), with a proven track record in generating revenue, writing grants and reports, and event coordination
- A history of developing relationships with and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a range of responsibilities at the same time through effective prioritizing and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) with a highly developed ability to effectively communicate impact
- Ability to work flexible hours and act independently, with demonstrated self-confidence, initiative, and integrity
- Experience working with Board members in a fundraising capacity
- Knowledge of database systems, such as Canada Helps, an asset
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices
- Experience in developing a variety of effective communication content including written, infographics, funding and donation proposals, and videos
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one within 1 month of hire
