GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. The company uses its own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions.

GHGSat’s capability is unique: the company provides high-resolution, local measurements of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide concentration from space. This further provides the company means to detect greenhouse gas emitters and to visualize and quantify their emissions.

SRE bridges the gap between development and operations, focusing on Digital Infrastructure availability and reliability, while DevOps focuses on continuity and speed of product development and delivery.

As a member of the Digital Infrastructure (DI) team, you will play a major role in shaping the future of systems operations at GHGSat. We’re aiming at migrating most of our systems to the cloud, containerize, and operate them with tools that you will help choose and deploy. You will implement and improve observability of on-premise and cloud services, secure and improve workflows for 80 developers and researchers. Your long-term goal is to lay the foundation, and implement SRE practices to support the teams who research, develop, test and deploy our new products.

Tasks
- Evaluate and Design **evolutions of the infrastructure**: IaC, deployments, automation, reliability
- Operate GHGSat services, both on-premise and in the Cloud, using kubernetes, artifact registries, security scanning tools, etc.
- Manage, troubleshoot and audit **Identity Access Management** **for GHGSat employees, customers and partners
- **Automate yourself out** **of recurring ops tasks
- Perform regular **Cybersecurity Audits**:

- **Evangelize** best ops and security practices
- Understand development and research teams objectives and help them **build solutions**

**Skills**:

- You love **Linux** and **open-source**:

- You’re a maestro with **Kubernetes**:

- You know how to deploy and run services in the **cloud** (AWS)
- You know your way around **IAM** (Azure AD, AWS IAM)
- You embrace **infra as code**, **automation** **and** **observability**:

- You have a good knowledge of **Cybersecurity practices** (phishing, threat and intrusion detection, SSL certificates, malware protection)
- You’re excited about **learning** new technologies, ️
- You’re bilingual French and English

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or equivalent background
- 5-10 years of experience as a SRE, DevOps or System Administrator
- Ability to obtain Canadian government security clearance (Canadian Controlled Goods Program)
