**Job Summary**

**Main Responsibilities**

Daily Operations Support
- Ensure proper running trade employees called through the CATS system respecting all rules within the 33 collective agreements
- Oversee the adherence of regulatory rules and qualifications
- Review train and yard changes to determine crew impact in CATS and Train Operation and Control (TOPC)
- Maintain qualifications for rules, medical, and Positive Train Control (PTC), etc.

Business Subject Matter Expert Project
- Engage in process and software redevelopment
- Review Crew calling and pay processes, write user stories, prepare and execute test cases and data
- Collaborate with I&T and vendor partners to develop and implement the crew system

System Support
- Respond to the Field and CMC for special set up situations pertaining to detours and reroutes
- Provide guidance on system usage to support LR in resolving grievances and arbitration
- Support Crew Situation Forecast (CSF), which assists the CMC and the Field in manpower planning to reduce and avoid delays
- Create bids, bulletins, and crew schedules for employee bidding and approve Vacation, Personal Leave Day (PLD) allocation, lodging and IVR set up

Regulatory Support
- Maintain hours of service compliance for Transport Canada and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) through CATS system functionalities and COLOG for Officers
- Test new software for collective agreement and regulatory changes with I&T to ensure all programs interfaces including TOPC operate effectively

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular work week from Monday to Friday, weekend work required at times. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress.

**Requirements**:
Experience

Crew Management
- Minimum 5 years of Crew Management experience with CATS
- Experience in Field or Network
- Experience in writing use and test cases*
- Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset

Education/Certification/Designation
- Minimum Grade 12

Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of CATS, FOCUS, SQL, ACCESS, and BO
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of collective agreements
