**Technical Project Manager - TES|efaci**

TES|efaci, a progressive IT and Environmental Service Company located in the Ottawa Valley (Carleton Place), is seeking an ambitious Technical Project Manager to oversee key technology projects from conception to launch as we build out our engineering team. You will manage all aspects of software development initiatives, including planning, system design, development, testing, and deployment for projects leveraging the latest technologies like AI. This is a performance-driven role with long term growth opportunities.

**Role Summary**
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules, including resource allocation and task assignments
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Conduct evaluations to ensure quality standards are met
- Implement best practices/methodologies for project management
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers
- Utilize Notion, Coda, Airtable and other tools for documentation and reporting

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- End-to-end project planning from kickoff to launch, including budgeting, resource allocation
- Managing complex project scope and developing detailed specifications
- Building comprehensive project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and communication strategies
- Tracking progress, identifying issues, and proactively managing risks
- Leading design reviews, standups, demos, retrospectives and other rituals
- Overseeing entire software development process including QA, testing, and documentation
- Coordinating both co-located and distributed teams and vendors
- Selecting and optimizing project management tools and systems
- Managing on-premise and cloud infrastructure including networks, servers, computers
- Staying up-to-date on the latest software, systems, and IT project management best practices
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding talented technical staff
- Setting goals and priorities for team members and providing coaching/mentoring

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in using modern collaboration/productivity tools
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation a plus
- Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors
