Plains is looking for an experienced Pipeline Technician to work on our pipeline system in the Pincher Creek area. This position will provide support to operations and maintenance as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures.
- Flexible and willing to complete tasks as an operator and an electrical technician;
- Strong mechanical aptitude to perform minor maintenance duties;
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as a team member with mínimal supervision;
- Understanding of ground disturbance protocol, first calls, crossings and proximities;
- Line locating experience would be a definite asset;
- Preference will be given to those with their Red Seal electrical ticket;
- Possess excellent communicational skills;
- General computer knowledge with experience;
- Minimum Grade XII education with 3 - 5 years oilfield / pipeline experience preferred;
- Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy is mandatory;
- Permanent residency with 100 KM of Pincher Creek is a condition of employment; and
- A valid Driver’s License is required.
