**Position**: Full-time Service Coordinator - Manager/Supervisor role

**Location**: Kamloops, BC

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours/week, Typically Monday - Friday (flexibility required), in-addition after-hours/on-call

**Wage**:$26.00 - $30.00

**Overall Purpose of a Service Coordinator**:
The Service Coordinator is actively involved in developing and delivering services and plans that recognize individual choices and potential within inclusive communities. On a day-to-day basis, Service Coordinators are responsible for the “hands-on” supervision of services to individuals, as well as direct support, and the associated administrative functions in accordance with the funder, company policies, and governing bodies standards. Service Coordinators provide leadership and contribute directly to networking, planning, administration, and evaluation of services while ensuring adherence and commitment to the principles, values, and goals of the organization. As well, Service Coordinators oversee the selection, supervision, mentoring, coaching and development of employees.

**Experience / Education**:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Any post secondary education in Social Services, Health Care or Management
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or individuals with complex health care needs.
- Experience working in a management position or in a human service setting.

**Requirements**:

- Valid First Aid Certificate **can be obtained within 2 weeks employment**:

- Clear Criminal Record check
- Medical clearance by Physician within first month of employment (TOCSC provided form)
- Must be fully vaccinated and provide QR code (1st day of employment)
- A vehicle in good working condition that can be used on a regular basis for work purposes
- Valid Driver’s License and Safe Driver’s Abstract
- Business use and a minimum of $3 million third liability coverage for vehicle insurance
- TB test (to be completed within 1st month of employment)
- Minimum 2 work-related references
- Must be comfortable with personal care and working with individuals with high behavioral needs

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Must be detail oriented, well organized, and self motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate excellence in a leadership role
- Strong oral and written communication skills and proficient decision-making skills
- Ability to advocate and promote self-advocacy
- Must be comfortable providing a high level of personal care, and medication administration
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting with a willingness to learn and be flexible
- Ability to deescalate stressful situations and understand an individual’s needs, both emotional and physical
- Demonstrate creative problem solving and sound crisis management techniques

**Additional Information**:

- Requires a degree of flexibility according to the needs of the individuals and agency
- Must be available to backfill CI, Outreach and 24-hour shifts if needed
- This work can be of a demanding physical and mental nature, including, but not limited to: lifting, bending, twisting, ability to push a wheelchair, and working with individuals with physical and/or verbal responsive behaviours

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
