Aecon is currently seeking an EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Coordinator to join the iconic ADM (Aéroports de Montréal) project based out of Dorval, Quebec.

Under the supervision of the Director of Health and Safety, the incumbent is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with the safety standards required by laws and regulations, the prevention program and in accordance with the safety code for construction work.

**What You’ll Do Here**:

- Administer the prevention program
- Ensure compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to construction sites
- Conduct daily inspections on site to ensure the safety and health of all
- Administer instructions and all safety measures specific to the construction site
- Ensure the production of accident and incident reports and complete accident investigations with existing personnel
- See to the implementation and follow-up on recommendations following accident investigations
- Compile statistics and report them monthly
- Participate in various meetings dealing with OSH
- Act as safety advisor to site managers
- Cooperate with the various training organizations on site and within the company
- Immediately notify the emergency service in the event of an accident or emergency
- Intervene when there is a risk of accident and investigate following an accident
- Maintain an up-to-date accident record
- Work with the site committee
- Establish and maintain coordination and cooperation with the team in place and the various stakeholders on site

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health or environmental discipline (or equivalent work experience)
- Hold a certificate of health and safety coordinator for construction sites recognized by the CNESST (formerly known as safety officer for construction sites)
- Experience as a health and safety advisor on construction sites
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, judgment, and act proactively
- High degree of organizational skills
