**We’re looking for a Store Manager for our The Shoe Company banner who will put their best foot forward.**

This position provides managerial development for readiness for the role of Store Manager. As a Manager in Training at The Shoe Company, you will report to the Store Manager and lead the store environment, which fosters inclusivity and diverse customer connections. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in ongoing training from store management, coaching and leading the team to achieve store objectives, which includes in-store sales, web orders, goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development. Your ability to problem solve, thrive in a past pace environment, lead a dynamic team and execute on operational excellence will be key to your success in this role.

**Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to**:

- Willingness to commit to development, flexibility to travel and/or relocate provincially for training or management opportunities.
- Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional Customer experiences.
- Facilitates achievement of business results by role modelling a shopping experience that encourages uniquely responsive Customer service, compelling merchandise presentation and operational integrity that will encourage positive customer connections and loyalty
- Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling
- Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes
- Achieves company objectives and enhance the The Shoe Company brand image by modeling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/humility
- Develops and implement agile business plans to achieve results.
- Fosters teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintain effective, open lines of communication with Senior Operational Managers.

**Qualifications**:

- Educational background: relevant post-secondary education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role
- Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets in large volume top doors
- Proven ability to motivate others
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience
- Ability to work, days, closing shifts and weekends
- Mobile within a geographic area
- Ability to travel by air, car, train, etc. as required
