**Position Overview**
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated full time bookkeeper to join Gordon’s. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and ensuring the timely processing of transactions.
**Bookkeeping Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Scan and file all vendor invoices.
- Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
- Prepare and process invoices and payments.
- Track and report on company expenses, revenue, and budget.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing documents for tax filing.
- Support audits, as needed.
- Maintain filing systems and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred, but others considered).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience with payroll processing is preferred.
