_**This position **_requires _**extensive travel between Hinton, Edson, **_Jasper _**and Grande Cache. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Employment Advisor will be expected to**:_
- Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategy to employers
- Liaise with community professionals and employers to create competitive jobs and employment opportunities
- Monitor all placements, oversee training plan development and conduct on-going follow-up to ensure successful employment outcomes for program participants
- Integrate work with all HALS staff, in particular with Employment specific team
- Provide culturally sensitive employment services including intake and assessment, one-to-one and group employment counselling and referrals when required
- Provide employment preparation and employability group sessions and individual support when required
- Provide facilitation and coordination of the Workplace Training Program
- Conduct an employment assessment with each participant including needs and risk assessment, an implementation plan, and follow-up as it relates to employment goals
- Aid participants in the development of appropriate work habits, behaviors, and attitudes suitable for the workplace
- Assist with pre-employment and job maintenance issues such as interview preparation and conflict resolution in the workplace
- Determine and assess participants who require job coaching and or continuous support throughout their employment in the broader labour market
- Provide quality assurance regarding assigned tasks to ensure compliance with program standards
- Provide documentation and maintains confidential data, in accordance with HALS policies
- Participate in the compilation of internal and external reports and statistical data
- Work together with HALS team to identify community needs and interests for program opportunities through consultation with members, partners, agencies and learners, and respond accordingly
- Work together with HALS team to plan, develop, coordinate, market and evaluate programs, courses, special events and collaborative projects
- Model appropriate behaviours to staff in line with our Mission, Vision, and Values; establishes rapport and maintains effective relationship building with staff, participants, volunteers, Board, and partners
- Ensure the CEIS Storefront is effectively serving participants
- Maintain confidentiality with learners, participants, volunteers, staff, board and contractors
- Abide by all HALS policies and procedures
- Participate in professional development opportunities as they arise and are relevant at local, regional and provincial levels.
- Participate in Mobius training as identified by the funder
- Work together with HALS team to ensure an exceptional customer service experience to clients, staff, visitors and volunteers.

Qualification:

- At least two years of experience providing career and employment supports
- Ability to connect with employers in person, by phone and online
- An excellent understanding of employer needs and labour market information within the region.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented person who works well independently, while exercising good judgement, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma, preferably in Business Administration, Human Services, Human Resources, or related field, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Effective client service, recruitment or community outreach experience
- Proficiency in MS office environment. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent writing skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
