Toronto, Canada Alamos Gold Inc. Full time

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Leads the full administration of the Alamos Microsoft BackOffice Enterprise environment.
- Full management of data backup solutions and coordination across all our mine sites.
- Administer mobility solutions, telephony, and conferencing facilities.
- Together with the IT Security & Solutions Manager and Network Manager, manage software deployments, maintenance updates, patches, and fixes according to a fixed schedule in addition to dealing with any unplanned activities.
- Works with the corporate and site IT teams to administer various aspects of systems hosted at the data center, unified communications, server requirements and/or hosted solutions.
- Follows a structured approach for reporting, tracking, and documenting all support, projects, changes, and service requests via our standard IT helpdesk system.
- Analyze high-level and high-complexity IT issues being reported while demonstrating root cause, problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques to resolve the issue.
- Display constant improvement through efficiencies, automation, and innovation - to be measured and reported on at least on a quarterly basis.
- General IT support and cross-skilling expected with smaller teams.
- An ability to travel up to 20% as and when expected.

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Current active Microsoft certification for enterprise systems administration.
- Proven track record of administering a full Microsoft environment on the enterprise level.
- Minimum of 5 years administering enterprise-grade virtualized or hosted environments.
- High degree of knowledge and understanding of IT standards, IT security, data centre and cloud technologies at an enterprise level.
- This position requires to have the maturity, depth and breadth of knowledge and experience expected of this senior technical position.

**Nice to have**:

- Certified Security or Cloud qualification (preferable through ISACA)
- Experience working in mining or related remote environments
- No issues with rolling up your sleeves and getting all levels of IT work done
- Availability outside of business hours for emergencies and maintenance work as part of a small team
