**SOCIAL WORKER (1.0 FTE 12 Month Contract) x 2**

**What will you be doing?**

The Social Worker enhances child and family participation and quality of life by providing support to children with identified needs and their families through assessment, support and counselling, case management, education, and advocacy.

As an employee of the Niagara Children's Centre, a Social Worker may be assigned to one or more services. These include interdisciplinary and/or other specialized services such as Neurodevelopmental Clinic, Physiatry Clinic and Home and Vehicle Modification Clinic.

This position may be required to work with children and youth with a complex profile of needs to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity in the home, community or school.

**Does this sound like you?**
- Registration and membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers
- Masters in Social Work will be preferred
- Sound understanding in the practice of Social Work amongst children and youth
- Effectively assess, educate and advocate for children/youth, families and other care providers related to their specific needs and through a variety of mediums (group, individual, lectures, virtual, etc.)
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Bilingualism considered an asset
- Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
- Access to reliable transportation and possession of a driver’s license valid in Ontario
