**Hours of Work**:35 per week

**Responsibilities**
- Outreach and assessment
- Orientation to program and agency
- Client-centered engagement, service provision and interventions
- Skill development and goal planning
- Providing resources, information and advocacy
- Maintaining a trusting, respectful and collaborative working relationship
- Monitoring, evaluation and follow-up
- Individual and group addictions counseling and rehabilitation
- Supporting CD initiatives across the agency (i.e., facilitating groups)
- Consultation to other staff on addictions related issues

**Skills You Bring**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Science or an equivalent
- Diploma/Certificate in Addictions or an equivalent amount of training/experience
- 3 years experience in community mental health and addictions
- Understanding of the Strengths
- based model.
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care service delivery.
- Excellent skills in providing case management support.
- Work experience and knowledge of concurrent disorders, homelessness, and the criminal justice system as it relates to mental health.
- Periodic unit inspection to ensure health and safety conditions are being kept.
- Responding to crisis calls and provide follow-up support.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a non-homophobic and anti-racism approach.
- Ability to communicate in a second language is an asset.
- Primarily day hours with occasional evenings.
- ** Access to a car and a valid driver’s license is required.**
