**Territory Salesperson, Pet Division, GTA East & Surrounding Area (Ontario)**

Kane Veterinary Supplies is a Canadian wholesale distributor and manufacturer agent, providing excellence in distribution of the highest quality, cutting edge, value-laden products to the pet retail, veterinary, agricultural, and equine markets across Canada.

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts by regularly contacting businesses within the Company’s related industry and within a defined territory. Consults with business owners, managers and their staff regarding products and services available.

Generate Sales:Responsible for driving profitable sales growth, across multiple supply and equipment categories.Developsrelationshipswithbusinessownersandkeystaff.Executeeffectivecoldcallstrategiesto acquirenewaccounts.Generatesreferralsfromcurrentcustomersandmanufacturers’representatives.Plans, coordinates, and schedules events such as technical demonstrations and co-travels.Coordinate and execute sales initiatives with inside sales partner to achieve common goals.
- Sales Planning:Prepares for sales visits ahead of the meeting; develops general and client-specificsales strategies.Develops short and long term business goals.Actively seeks information regarding Patterson productsandservices,competitiveintelligenceandindustryinformation.Analyzescustomer’sbusinessfor needs and selling opportunities.
- Equipment and Technology Sales:Coordinates with other Patterson sales professionals to demonstrate and sell equipment and technology.Proactively seeks opportunities to discuss equipment and technology solutions based on specific customer needs and emerging trends in the Company’s related industry.Clearly explains benefitsandfeaturesofequipmentandtechnologysolutionsspecifictotheinterestsandneedsofthecustomer. Communicates financial benefits of equipment purchases such as return on investment and tax advantages.
- Customer Relations:Provides post sale support to customers.Demonstrate proper use of products or equipment.Respondstocustomerqueries,answersquestionsandsolvesproblemsinatimelyfashion.Holds clientrelationshipmeetingstomonitorsatisfactionlevelswithPatterson’sserviceandsupportandillustratesall of the value-addedservices provided.Active participation and planning for tradeshows, industry and customer events.
- Administrative:Accurately enter customer orders in to order entry system for prompt delivery.Review and completeaccuratesalesrecordsandreportingtoolsforallsalesactivity.Documentsallcustomerinteractions and potential sales opportunities.

**Job** Qualifications**:

- ** Required **Qualifications**
- Four-year degree
- Three or more years of experience in business to business sales
- Three or more years of experience in the production and/or companion animal and/or veterinary equipment industry
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- **Preferred **Qualifications**
- Proven track record in sales
- Ability to analyze financial information
- P.C. skills including knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software
- Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
