About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Law Clerk to support the firm’s lawyers on civil litigation matters. You will report to the Office Manager and will work in a team with other Law Clerks and Legal Administrative Assistants.

Key duties include:

- Managing a busy litigation practice, including scheduling examinations and motions and arranging for service and filing of court and tribunal documents
- Preparing briefs, affidavits of documents, pleadings, and other court and tribunal forms
- Drafting, proofreading, and editing correspondence
- Conducting simple legal research
- Support for both civil litigation and construction lien matters
- Opening and closing files and other administrative work
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to deal with clients in a professional and courteous manner

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a law clerk
- Knowledge of court forms, court processes and procedures, and the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent team player
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Construction lien experience is an asset
