You ensure quality in the factory and are responsible for meeting quality targets. You are fully responsible for the people, machinery and the identification and elimination of quality losses and problems in the department. You grow your team’s capabilities and coordinates departmental activities in accordance with corporate standards, local requirements and ISO standards. In this role, you report directly to the plant manager with dotted line responsibility to corporate quality.
**How you will contribute**
You will ensure that all quality objectives, goals and targets in the factory (including regional and global commitments) are met. You will develop and track your department’s budget and eliminate losses. With your team, you will conduct regular plan-do-act-check assessments to plan how targets will be met, executing the plan and periodically checking and taking action to stay on track. In addition, you will ensure that there is strict adherence with all appropriate laws, food safety quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products and manage crisis situations internally and externally in ways that support the company’s image, policies and business. As a people leader, you are responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members.

- Commercial strategy process, product/package development process, food safety, plant commercialization, ingredient and package technology and training and coaching technical material
- Communicating effectively and leading cross-functional teams
- Statistical processes and problem-solving techniques
- Working with external manufacturing suppliers to ensure compliance to our policies and procedures and technical vendors to support compliance
- Working with customers on quality related issues

**What you need to know about this position**:
The Process Quality Leader is responsible to ensure that the end-to-end manufacturing process is compliant with all the Quality and Food Safety requirements to meet and exceed the expectations of our consumers and customers. These includes ownership of specific elements in programs like traceability, specification management, HACCP, hold and release, etc. Additionally, the Process Quality Leader will work with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and eliminate quality losses like consumer complaints using Lean Six Sigma tools.

- Post-secondary degree in a science related field, Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology etc.
**Job specific requirements**:
- Ability to work in a team environment with a professional and optimistic attitude.
- Ability to organize, motivate and coach the core team on desired outcomes, driving the Quality culture agenda on the production floor.
- Ability to lead a team of Quality Specialists that audit the manufacturing lines to ensure all the Quality and Food Safety requirements are compliant during production.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools to address quality losses.
- Proactive to investigate, take action and make decisions without being prompted.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility in scheduling. May be required to support sporadically on weekends and off-hours to connect with the core team and the Quality Specialists.
- Advanced computer skills, work proficiently with Microsoft Office and excellent MS Excel skills.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
**Travel requirements**:
- Traveling is not required for this role.
- This position is 100% based on-site. Home office is not available.
**Work schedule**:
- Office hours on weekdays.
