Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Children’s Program Assistant to join our team. Children’s Program Assistant will report to the Children and Youth Program Manager. The Children's Program Assistant will be responsible for ensuring safety and wellbeing of participants in the After School Program and other CecilKids programs. The Children’s Program Assistant provides care for children during the Safe Walk as well as planning and implementing educational and recreational programs to facilitate engagement, learning, and achieve developmental goals of children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the supervision and coordination of program activities
- Design, develop, and implement a wide variety of activities that reflect children’s interests
- Ensure children have a fun after-school and program experience
- Be a positive role model
- Attendance at all staff meetings and in-service trainings
- Prepare appropriate environments by ensuring safe, clean, sanitary areas
- Participate in Safe Walk for children to arrive at programming
- Implements community outreach and program promotion
- Assist Children's Program Coordinator in tasks

**Skills**:

- Experience working with children
- After School Program/Children's programming facilitation experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable and creative skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Requirement
- 1 Year of Child Care Experience
- Clear vulnerable sector police record check is required
- Valid CPR & First Aid

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $20.07 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- working with children: 1 year (required)
