Edmonton, Canada Century Park Animal Hospital Full time

Century Park Animal hospital is 3800 square feet and it is located on the south side of Edmonton, across from the Century Park Transit Center. Century Park Animal Hospital will offer both primary and emergency services 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 02:00 am. The hospital is equipped with a full in-house IDEXX lab, blood gas analysis, IDEXX X-Ray machine, ultrasound and flexible and rigid endoscopes. In addition to the primary and urgent care services, Century Park Animal Hospital is offering orthopedic surgeries, advanced soft tissue surgeries, small animal rehabilitation, laparoscopic procedures and arthroscopic procedures.

The applicant must have passed NAVLE (North American Veterinary License Exam) and is able to get his license in Canada.

- Weekends as needed

**Requirements needed for this position**
- Degree in veterinary medicine
- Experience 2-4 years minimum in the veterinary field
- Having work experience in North America (USA or Canada) (preferred)
- Language skills: English fluency is mandatory
- Speaking multiple languages (preferred)

**Job description**
- Strong team-oriented approach to medical care
- The Veterinarian will be responsible for performing medical and surgical procedures, diagnosing and treating illnesses, providing preventative care, and communicating with clients. The Veterinarian will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and staying up-to-date with the latest treatments, techniques, and technologies in veterinary medicine.
- Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery.
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
- Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals.
- Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations
- Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia.
