Be a part of a spectacular event As a Banquet Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge you will create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience.

**What you will be doing**:
Reporting to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Assist with Coffee Breaks when required
- Project a pleasant and positive professional image to guests at all times
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Deliver and present food items to guest tables
- Bus and re-set tables
- Perform opening, cleaning and closing duties
- Set up and tear down function spaces
- Report any irregularities or comments from guests
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications** Your experience and skills include**:

- 6 months Food & Beverage service experience required
- Previous banquet experience an asset
- Valid Alberta Drivers License an asset
- Pro Serve certification required
- SilverWare POS experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

- Sitting: 1-2hrs/day
- Walking: 7-8hrs/day
- Standing: 7-8hrs/day
- Lifting: 5-6hrs/day required to lift up to 50lbs
- Bending/reaching: 2-3hrs/day
- Pushing/pulling: 1-2 hrs/day
- Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, both internal and external temperatures
