Regional Routing Manager

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading the daily routing function with the goal of consistent, on time delivery in the most cost-effective manner possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review routing daily to maintain and/or improve system efficiencies;
- Review all route territories quarterly and identify opportunities to improve routing efficiencies, reduce delivery expense and improve equipment utilization;
- Maximize the load capacity and increase pieces per truck while remaining compliant with Hours of Service Regulations;
- Liaise with the Sales team to ensure delivery time windows in the system are accurate and updated as required;
- Conduct meetings with the Sales team to develop and identify opportunities for improving on service levels and achieving organizational goals;
- Maintain Roadnet delivery information system and ensure that applicable upgrades/changes to the system are made in a timely manner;
- Work with the Transportation Team to review route audits and ensure accurate levels in Roadnet system;
- Act as a liaison between Drivers and Marketing Colleagues on route issues;
- Create reports tracking sales, pieces per truck, routes and fuel usage;
- Assist and train routing staff on Roadnet system changes/upgrades
- Effectively manage, coach and develop routing staff.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with mínimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

Qualifications:
- Five (5+) years in a dispatch/routing related role.
- Geographical knowledge of service area and map reading skills.
- Variety of transportation routing experience preferred.
- Foodservice distribution is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in logistics or transportation is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Knowledge of AS400 and oracle WMS systems.
- Enterprise Road Net or other dispatch and routing software knowledge is an asset.
- Geographical knowledge of the region.
