**Half Time Temporary - Family School Liaison Worker**
***

Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division is currently seeking a half time temporary (20 hours) Family School Liaison Worker. The assignment is for the 2023-2024 school year, beginning August 29, 2023, and ending June 28, 2024. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Division Family School Liaison Worker is responsible for development a proactive approach to connect families, school and community groups in order to facilitate support and services to students.

**Qualifications & Application Process**

Roles and responsibilities of the Family School Liaison Worker will include:

- Establish positive relationships with students, staff and families
- Work collaboratively to plan and differentiate curriculum with school staff
- Develop effective communication links with students, schools and communities
- Facilitate/mediate meetings between students, families, school staff and relevant community partners
- Provide opportunities for family and the school to collaborate and provide support for their children
- Work with families and support them in understanding their critical role in the development of their children
- Establish proactive relationships with community and government groups that would support students and their families
- Visit homes when required to provide the link between the school and the home to support student success
- Other duties as assigned***

**Education Requirements**:
***

Undergraduate degree in Social Sciences or relevant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized community college (i.e. Human Services, Early Childhood Education)

**Experience**:
***
- Minimum of three (3) years successful experience
- Direct knowledge and experience
- Work collaboratively to plan and differentiate curriculum with school staff
