**About The Role**

As Codezilla’s Camp Supervisor, your #1 job is to ensure that your camp team is delivering _**‘Safe, Active, Educational Fun’**_ everyday. You will take responsibility for all campers and staff, and ensure that we consistently deliver an amazing camp experience for both kids and their families.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and mentor 2 staff (1 Coding Instructor + 1 STEM Instructor)
- Ensure safety of 18-24 campers per week, for 7-9 weeks (varies by location)
- Perform administrative duties such as evaluations, incident reports, contacting parents and end of day reports
- Oversee beginning and end-of-day camp procedures
- Assist with camp set up and organization, and ensure a clean, organized room
- Provide superior customer service; effectively communicating and engaging with parents daily is a must
- Helps campers prepare their project presentations for the 'Friday Showcase' event, plus welcoming all families, introducing your team and sharing learning outcomes
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- MANDATORY: you must enjoy working with children and youth;
- Must be 19+ years of age at the start of a program;
- Previous experience working in a camp setting with children and youth;
- Exceptionally friendly and outgoing
- Ability to remain organized throughout work day
- Ability to supervise a small team (collaborate, resolve conflict, provide feedback, etc.);
- Ability to lead training and camp activities;
- Ability to take charge of different types of situations or unexpected scenarios
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily tasks;
- Ability to bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm to each day;
- Ability to be responsible (punctual, balance time constraints, prioritize safety of campers/staff, etc.)

**Hiring Criteria**
- Eligible to work under the **Canadian Summer Jobs grant**, ie. must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is eligible to work in Canada, age 16-30.
- Available for multiple interviews, including a STEM or Coding skills demonstration

**Upon hire**:

- A Criminal Background Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) is required (over 18 years of age) or Statutory Declaration (under 18 years of age).
- completion of First Aid training and special training on how to support kids' needs
- All updated COVID vaccines and immunizations

**Compensation & Job Details**
- 100% onsite 30 hours per week, hours will vary between 8:30am-5:00pm
- Free hot lunch provided ($50 weekly value, catered by The Lunch Lady)
- This is a full time seasonal role for summer (July-August)
- Extra remote/group work, paid training, special events and team bonding prior to the camp season
