As the Supervisor of Disability Claims you will provide leadership to a team of professionals responsible for disability case management with a focus on client engagement. You will manage and contribute to department objectives and initiatives through ensuring that disability claims and associated liabilities are appropriately assessed, effectively managed and are compliant with legislation and best practices.

**How you will create impact**:
- Providing guidance on developing and implementing case management plans for complex claims and reviewing and authorizing case decisions ensuring adherence to policy provisions and established procedures.
- Implementing goals and strategies to ensure the team delivers on established service, quality and productivity objectives and managing workforce resourcing to ensure the availability of skilled resources as claim volume and demands change.
- Resolving escalated matters and providing staff communications on relevant information and feedback.
- Fostering client relationships through exchanging relevant information with clients and business partners, presenting ideas and identifying and implementing solutions to enhance client service.
- Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, recognizing achievements, and managing performance, to develop an agile team and achieve department objectives.

**To join our team**:
- You have five years of experience in disability claims management.
- You have a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences or Disability Management.
- Holding the Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation is an asset.
- You have an expert understanding of disability claims management practices and group and/or individual disability insurance contracts.

- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
