Toromont Cat is looking for a Parts Analyst to join our team this position will provide parts support throughout our business to optimize and rationalize the parts inventory levels throughout the year, including the coordination and execution of stock replenishment.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:

- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Provide support in planning and execution of parts shipments, customer POs, parts inventory levels, shipping routes and timelines in conjunction with business requirements
- Conduct quality control checks and safety inspections on parts conditions and provide proper ratings and long term storage solutions
- Assist with parts inventory rationalization, by store, to meet the right balance between inventory turns and customer fill rate percentage including yearly stock levelling and supplier return
- Process and list parts for the web based marketing system
- Conduct analysis and reporting for key parts metrics including fill rates, inventory turns and expedite recovery
- Process parts requisitions, core returns for rebuilding and disposal
- Organize and maintain the yard daily
- Maintain safety awareness ensuring the recording of near misses and hazards, etc.

**Must-haves for this role**:

- Post-Secondary Education with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related industry and highly safety conscious
- Technical aptitude with experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician would be an asset
- Experience operating heavy equipment i.e. wheel loader and fork lifts
- Knowledge of the parts business would be beneficial
- Customer centric with proven analytical, problem solving and time management skills
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers at all levels
- A sense of urgency and mindset for continuous improvement
- Adaptable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Well-versed in parts systems, inventory control, DBS and SIS functions
- Understanding of Caterpillar and Toromont operating policies and procedures would be an asset
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications with an advanced Excel knowledge
- Willing and able to work with changing seasonal weather conditions
- Willing and able to travel and a valid Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract
