We are looking for a motivated Resettlement Case Worker (Life Skills Focus) to join our Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program - Operation Not Forgotten team This position will be based in Port Coquitlam with regular travel to Maple Ridge.

**POSITION FUNCTION**:

- Under the supervision of the Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program Manager, the Resettlement Case Worker is responsible for providing individual settlement and referral support, coordinating and facilitating program activities, enhancing community connections, and supporting the development of life skills necessary for the successful integration to Canadian society for privately sponsored refugees under Operation Not Forgotten.

**BACKGROUND**:
MOSAIC is a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH) with the Canadian Government, supporting refugees to resettle to Canada through Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program. Since 2017, MOSAIC has been involved with the private sponsorship of Refugees in need of resettlement and our exceptional work has been recognized by the United Nations Refugee Agency.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience working with immigrants, refugees or other newcomers - with an awareness of immigrant and refugee settlement challenges
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and working in a cross-cultural environment
- Strong understanding of available resources and services related to employment, housing, mental health, and other critical services for newcomers in the lower mainland
- Experience creating and facilitating skill development workshops both virtual and in person
- Demonstrated experience delivering direct services
- Highly organized and flexible with an attention to details
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and the ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English, a secondary language will be considered an asset
- Empathetic, respectful, discrete; tactful and patient during stressful situations
- Excellent personal boundaries with a strong understanding of confidentiality
- Bachelors Degree in Social Work or Counselling or an equivalent combination of education/experience will be accepted
- Current and satisfactory **Criminal Record Check** required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to works evenings and weekends
- Language skills an asset for: Tamil, Rohingya, Bengali, Farsi/Dari

**HOURS**:
35 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday 2:30pm to 9:30pm including evenings and weekends (days off Tuesdays & Wednesdays). This position will be based in Port Coquitlam with regular travel to Maple Ridge.

**Please note, this is a limited term position until August 31, 2024 with opportunity for renewal dependent on funding.**
