Customer Service Specialist

The Tire Man is hiring We are filling an exciting position on our Customer Service & Order Desk team.
Our ideal team member is a positive & enthusiastic individual; someone who is a proactive thinker & capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment. This position requires you to work independently for most tasks, however with the support of a larger team.

We require an outgoing individual who has the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with our retail and commercial customers throughout the Maritime region to process orders in a timely, and organized manner, as well as handle various customer service scenarios.
Sales or customer service experience is required.
We offer a technical training program for all new hires. Knowledge of tires is not required however would be preferred.
This position is responsible to generate revenue by taking inbound calls from prospective customers, and through outbound calling of customers to respond to all inquiries.
The ability to build and maintain customer service relationships with our new & existing customers is absolutely essential for this position.
This position is full time in a seasonal business - work shift schedules vary depending on the season.
Heavier work hours are required in the Fall months (September, October & November) and Spring months (April, May & June), and then work hours are reduced slightly in remaining months.
Individuals must be willing to work Saturdays as needed from 9 - 2 pm (rotational throughout most of the year, however mandatory every Saturday in the Fall months during our busy season)
- **Individual must also have their own reliable method of transportation. There is no metro bus service to our location.**_
The **main accountabilities** for this individual include but are not limited to:
- Inbound/outbound phone calls with customers to process orders and respond to inquiries
- Working on a computer with various software systems for the duration of the day (sitting)
- Quote appropriate freight charges to customers based on individual orders
- Suggest alternative sizes and products wherever possible
- Prepare courier waybills
- Resolve any customer claims that may come up
- Develop relationships with Tire Man’s new and existing customers
- Demonstrate knowledge of The Tire Man products in order to ensure appropriate products are selected for customers
- Other administrative tasks required
- Be fully engaged in growing & promoting The Tire Man brand
