**Job Title**:General Laborer / Railcar Mechanic

**Role Definition**:
We are currently seeking general labours/railcar mechanics to work in our railcar maintenance facility, performing mechanical repairs to all types of railcars.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and handle a variety of tools and equipment including (but not limited to) pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts and cranes safely and proficiently
- Adhere to and promote safety practices
- Perform daily assistance with housekeeping
- The ability to organize time and priorities to meet production efficiency standards
- The ability to work 6:30am to 3:00pm with overtime and weekends as required
- Perform occasional work outdoors in adverse conditions

**Qualifications**:

- High-school Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
- Welder certification and welding experience preferred
- Previous railway experience a plus
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and dirty environment.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
- Possibility of working in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection (following training and certification)

Elle exploite le plus grand atelier de roues indépendant au Canada (Hamilton, Ontario) ainsi que fournir des services de réparation de wagons et de locomotives._

**Titre du poste **:Journalier(ère) de Fabrication / Mécanicien(ne) de wagons

**Définition du rôle**:
Nous sommes présentement à la recherche de Journalier(ère) de Fabrication / Mécanicien(ne) de wagons pour travailler dans notre atelier de réparations de wagons, effectuant des inspections et des réparations mécaniques sur tous les types de wagons.

**Responsabilités**:

- Utiliser et manipuler une variété d'outils et d'équipements, y compris (sans toutefois s'y limiter), des outils pneumatiques et hydrauliques, des meuleuses, des vérins, des soudeuses, des chalumeaux, des chariots élévateurs à fourche et des grues de manière sécuritaire et compétente
- Respecter et promouvoir les pratiques de qualité et sécurité
- Maintenir l’aire de travail propre en tout temps
- La capacité d’organiser son temps et ses priorités pour respecter les normes d’efficacité de la production
- La capacité de travailler de 6h30 à 15h00 avec des heures supplémentaires et les fins de semaine au besoin
- Effectuer des travaux occasionnels à l'extérieur dans des conditions défavorables.

**Qualifications**:

- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou l'équivalent préférable
- Compétences de base en lecture, écriture et calcul nécessaires
- Certification de soudeur et expérience de la soudure préférable
- Expérience ferroviaire précédente un atout
- Capacité à travailler dans un environnement physiquement exigeant et poussiéreux
- Habileté à effectuer des activités physiques nécessitant une utilisation considérable des bras et des jambes et la mobilité de tout le corps, telles que grimper, soulever, équilibrer, marcher, se pencher et manipuler des matériaux
- Possibilité de travailler dans des espaces confinés et à des hauteurs de plus de 4 pieds du sol avec un EPI approprié et une protection contre les chutes (après formation et certification)
