The Jordan’s Principle Clerk provides administrative support for Jordan’s Principle Services. Support includes implementation and maintenance of process related to the administrative and record keeping, reporting, and scheduling around program delivery, as directed by the Jordin's Principle Coordinator.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-Secondary diploma in health/social sciences, business, with two years two (2) years working experience in an administrative role. However, a combination of skills, education and experience may be considered;
- Knowledge of Customary Care, member First Nation communities and social structures, Anishinaabe family systems, as well as local customs and traditions;
- Knowledge administrative structure and operations of Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services including mandates, services delivery, policies, procedures, office methods, and auditing standards;
- Knowledge of data entry Frontline system;
- Understanding and comprehension of Jordan’s Principle meaning and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal;
- Ability to coordinate services for children who requires AAFS Services from the Jordan’s Principle Team relating to intake, case management and outreach, services referrals, ongoing file management and case continuation or discharge in conjunction with agency programs and reporting;
- Ability to work in collaboration with the assigned finance staff;
- Ability to assist with identifying gaps related to children’s needs and services for each case managed;
- Committed to ensure highest level of confidentiality at al times; thorough understanding that all agency matters related to finance, service, clients, staff, and all other agency business must be kept confidential;
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and with various office systems and equipment;
- Accuracy with figures, ability to prioritize, and good organizational skills;
- Ability to flex daily work hours;
- Must possess a valid Ontario G Driver’s License and be willing to travel;
- Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract;
- Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and a definite asset.
Working Conditions:
The work will be normally performed in a typical interior and office environment located in the offices of AAFS. The position will require the incumbent to sit for long periods of time at a desk, walk, stand, bend, stoop, crouch and stretch. Use of arms, hands or fingers in typing, handing, carrying objects and repetitive movements. The noise level environment is usually quiet to moderate. Travel to semi-remote Anishinaabe communities on rough and winding class “C” roadways and in various weather conditions.
**Salary Range: $52,193- $64,011**
