**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are looking for an individual that is eager in making connections and engaging with talented people in our industry. The main objective of the Recruitment Coordinator is to identify, plan and execute recruitment and talent acquisition strategies for our various business units. This role will operate within the Human Resources group and collaborate closely with the Human Resources Coordinator.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery and execution of recruitment strategy designed by Scovan.

**Please note that this role will be based in our facility in Ponoka, AB.**

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively engage with industry trades and professionals to building and maintain a strong talent pool to support our organization;
- Attend and facilitate relevant job fairs and conferences in and around our communities;
- Responsible for collecting, maintaining, analyzing and reporting on data from recruitment and employment perspectives;
- Escalate employee relations issues to the appropriate department lead;
- Work in collaboration with the Corporate Services Team;

- Implementing procedures to ensure integrity of HR data and reporting;
- Provide orientation and facility tours with new hires;
- Support Human Resources team as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources is required; a combination of a Human Resources Certificate with directly relevant experience will be considered;
- Police Check with Vulnerable Sector, Intervention Record Check, First Aid with CPR certification are required;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Prior experience in training and recruitment;
- Previous experience in labour relations is highly desirable;
- Understanding of Alberta Employment Standards as they relate to payroll and HR Administration;
- Tact, discretion, and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality;
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively problem solve and multi-task;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Strong organization skills;
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and other systems;
- Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels and external providers;
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
