**Position Overview**:
The Delivery Helper's main role is to assist in delivering materials to job sites. Will not be driving the trucks so responsibilities include loading and storing of materials, assisting in completing customer orders, organizing order paperwork and reporting shortages and claims to the Yard Supervisor.

Common hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Occasional overtime, good work life balance.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Checks orders for accuracy.
- Organizes and secures load.
- Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.
- Delivers and unloads materials to customer ‘s satisfaction.
- Follows guidelines from supervisor.
- Completes necessary paperwork.
- Assists in unloading material returned for credit.
- Relays messages sent by customers while on job.
- Assists supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as may be needed.
- Any duties as assigned to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the Company.

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.

**Required License and Certification**:

- Valid G License preferred with a clean Ontario Driver Abstract.

**Skills, Knowledge and Abilitie**s:

- Able to read a tape measure.
- Good organizational skills.
- Able to work as part of a team and getting along with others.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.
- Quick learner.
- Communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.

**Physical Demands**:

- Strength (lift, carry, push and pull): Maximum lift, 100 lbs.; Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, with manual dexterity and see acute depth perception and field of vision.
- Trunk rotation with 20 lbs. at arm’s length 180 degrees from side to side.
- Bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
- Reach over head to grasp materials.

**Environment and Physical Working Conditions**:

- While loading and unloading, often working outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
- Hands on work environment.
