Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable General Helper to join our team at our building supply store. As a General Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting various functions within the store, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to operate heavy equipment occasionally.

**Duties**:

- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them locate products, offering advice on suitable materials, and answering inquiries about our inventory.
- Aid customers with loading purchased items into their vehicles, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage to products.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise on shelves and in storage areas. Ensure products are neatly organized, labeled correctly, and readily accessible to customers.
- Help maintain a clean and organized store environment by sweeping, mopping, and tidying shelves and display areas. Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Provide support to different departments within the store as required, including cashier duties, assisting with deliveries.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our customers. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Mandarin speaking is a plus.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
