Our Rapid Transit - Maintenance Delivery Signals office is looking for a Project Coordinator to coordinate and provide regular updates on the design and construction of capital rehabilitation and maintenance projects of railway signal infrastructure and associated assets in a safe, timely, consistent, and cost-effective manner. The projects aim to improve the overall quality, safety, and reliability of signaling and communications assets throughout the entire rail network.

**What will I be doing?**
- Coordinates project(s), or specific component(s) of the project(s) as assigned, through all phases of design, construction and acceptance and commissioning of completed projects for hand over.
- Performs day-to-day project administration such as organizing electronic files, coordinating and attending meetings (internal and external) related to the project(s).
- Coordinates tender document specifications, contracts, awards, and amendments for construction and consultant services.
- Plans, forecasts, monitors and reports on project expenditures such as consultant fees, purchase orders, invoices, delivery contracts and change orders.
- Contribute to issue and risk reporting and mitigation plans.
- Researching and participating in the development of industry maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure project compliance with legislation, codes and the requirements of governing/regulatory authorities, and Metrolinx standards and policies.

**What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?**
- Completion of a 3 or 4-year college engineering program in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides a thorough knowledge of the theories and practices of engineering.
- Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, corporate policies and procedures and applicable contract legislation.
- Thorough understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations and Safety & Operating procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently without supervision, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and analytical ability are a must.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analytics, visualization, and modelling techniques will be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of railway signal infrastructure will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of rail corridor access, workblock, workplan and maintenance activities will be considered an asset.
- A valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License is an asset for regular site visits.
