As a Communications Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to stretch your talents, researching and writing articles, blogs, messages and more, developing engaging web pages, leading executive livestreams, and using your graphic know-how. **Job Requirements**:

- Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or equivalent, and 1 year of related experience; OR
- Certificate or formal course work in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or equivalent and 2 years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Related experience includes the following:

- Minimum 1 year of experience writing and editing communications materials.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with staff engagement and communications.
- Experience using graphic design and website preparation software such as Front Page, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:

- Experience working with CMS lite or another content-management system.
- Experience working with senior leaders and/or executives.
- Experience in a social ministry or within the social sector.
- Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Metis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.

Proviso
- Occasional overnight travel to coordinate and/or attend major ministry events.
