**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Job Title**:
Quality Assurance Specialist

**Reports to**:
Thomas Moller

**Job Objective**:

- Ensure that the core quality aspects of the current ISO system are running smoothly and effectively. Overall responsibility for ensuring that the Inventory Management, RMA, and Corrective Action systems are efficient and effective. Provide recommendations to ensure companywide awareness of quality and cost of poor quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Corrective Action, OFI & Continuous Improvement management & administration
- Root Cause Analysis and Action Plan Development
- ISO document control & administration
- Creation of Management Review records and follow-up on MR action completion
- Entry and analysis of company Objectives & KPI’s
- RMA control including customer & supplier communication, return inspection, document administration
- Supplier communications for non-conforming product
- Weekly cycle count completion and discrepancy resolution
- Control & Coordinate Annual Inventory Count
- Process Owner for Inventory Management, Corrective Actions, RMA’s
- Backup Quality Control Inspection for Receiving, Distribution, Production and Machine Shop
- Completion of Customer Quality Questionnaires as required
- Completion of ROHS, Reach, Conflict Minerals, Material Certificates, IMDS, PPAP as required
- Evaluate new suppliers in terms of Quality
- Set and maintain quality standards and documents for all outsourced products/services
- Analyze data, identify and communicate risks to company quality. Develop and implement inspection activities to reduce risk and cost of poor quality
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the audit process, and support internal and external on-site audits
- Assure ongoing compliance with applicable quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Assist with ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance
- Other responsibilities as required

**Relationships and Roles**

**Internal / External Cooperation**:

- Establish strong and constructive relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers.
- Works in conjunction with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and any other department that has an effect on the quality of the organization’s products
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization

**Job Specifications**:
EDUCATION:
College degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 years of experience with ISO Systems and Quality management

Minimum 3 years of Inventory Management experience

Experience with distribution or production environment an asset

Experience in Quality Audits an asset

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Requires knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehouse

terminology and practices

Accuracy and thoroughness, with great attention to detail

Plans and meets deadlines. Manages a flexible work schedule

Conveys a professional and positive image and attitude regarding the Company

Demonstrates commitment to continued professional growth and development

Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communications

Proficient in MS Office, Syspro ERP, Sugar CRM software (training will be provided)
