**Location**: Remote, based in Ontario
**Status**: Permanent full time
The **Ontario Clinical Practice Mental Health Lead** is responsible for supporting the overall success of the clinical practice of Mental Health services in Ontario. They will ensure professional standards are met and support the continual growth and expansion of current Mental Health services. Additionally, they will work in collaboration with their manager along with the National leadership team to support strategic planning for growth of Mental Health services in Ontario.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Optimize Mental Health Recruitment & Retention within Clinic Operations**
- Create an environment that encourages professional development and job retention amongst staff through stay interviews and regular check-ins with clinicians.
- Oversee and direct Mental Health clinician onboarding and mentorship, to create an environment that encourages professional development and strengthens the Mental Health community in your region and at Lifemark nationally.
- Support onboarding, developing goals, and evaluating Mental Health professionals.
- Develop/support professional growth and development plans for all team members.
- Develop team training program and ongoing development strategies.
- Provide support for clinical supervision and quality assurance.
- Be a resource to the recruitment team and regional operations team on topics and discussions related to Mental Health services.
- Source potential Mental Health talent through the Mental Health community at large; including universities and professional associations.
**Clinical Leadership**
- Develop materials and provide seminars for customers on relevant industry and Mental Health service matters, as required.
- Attend key client meetings as Lifemark psychological expert at regional contract negotiations/meetings, when required.
- Focus on growth of services in their region.
**Optimize oversight of professional practice**
- Collaborate with other regional clinical Mental Health leads and National Mental Health team in developing practice improvements.
- Identify common training needs of Mental Health clinicians working with veterans and other complex cases; collaborate with National Mental Health team for development of such training.
- Have a strong understanding of programs (WSIB/WCB, LTD, MVA, Veterans Affairs, private, and other programs). Support with developing clinical efficiencies within said programs.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychotherapists and other psychologists where appropriate.
- Consult and provide support and education to other Lifemark clinicians with respect to support, management and engagement of clients with Mental Health concerns who are also engaged in physical treatment/ rehabilitation.
**Clinical Psychologist**
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide specialized treatment with diverse clientele.
- Perform clinical duties as required of their clinical professional role.
- Perform clinical duties within multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (Clinical Psychology, Adult Population).
**ADDITIONAL TASKS**
- Implement stay interviews within the first 3 months of hire, report findings to manager.
- Meet with National Director, Mental Health and other regional Mental Health leads as needed on professional practice issues/ Mental Health initiatives to support growth and efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- At least 5-7 years experience in Psychology.
- Leadership experience is strongly desired.
