**The Opportunity**:
You will build relationships and work with the business and other Supply Management (SM) teams to identify and implement cost-effective solutions, improvement opportunities and quality throughout the material lifecycle. You will manage supplier relationships effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement. You can contribute to the success of Canadian Natural’s operations by bringing a continuous improvement mindset to identify potential improvements to our processes with new trends, best practices and innovations.

- **Shift schedule**: 5d2x/8 HR

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Understand and coordinate with Business Unit partners to ensure the right material at the right time and at the right price and place is achieved
- Support, develop and utilize commercially competitive procurement strategies while taking into account potential implementation of contracting strategies
- Support internal and external stakeholders in the development and execution of procurement or inventory strategies through excellent collaboration and close cooperation
- Ensure strong connections and communication across the wider SM teams to foster continuous knowledge sharing and leverage of best practices
- Manage supplier relationships effectively and collaboratively to drive continuous improvement via relevant procurement key metrics (e.g. HSSE, Operations, Cost). This involves constructively challenging Suppliers on delivery and performance.
- Maintain and manage inventory and procurement data elements within an end-to-end Supply Management (SM) process, using commercial judgement, common sense and a simplification mindset
- Understand the difference between nonnegotiable compliance elements (Safety, Code of Conduct, Law) and SM operating practices, while always keeping Business values in focus
- Provide reporting and analytics for Supply Management performance measures, offering key insight and actionable information

**What You Bring to The Role**:

- Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree program in Business, Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Engineering, Supply Management or a related discipline
- Contribute to a competitive supply chain by demonstrating an internal stakeholder focus, strong communication, solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work independently
- Familiarity with and understanding of:

- Business, project, and operations management
- Inventory, procurement, material management, and supply management processes
- Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- The following is an asset:

- Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP, JD Edwards)
