We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our establishment in Jacksons Point, Ontario. The Head Chef will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences, overseeing kitchen operations, and maintaining a high standard of quality in all dishes served. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to showcase their culinary expertise and contribute to the growth and success of our team.
**Responsibilities**
- Menu Development: Design and update seasonal menus that cater to customer preferences, with an emphasis on creativity, local ingredients, and culinary trends.
- Food Preparation & Presentation: Ensure all dishes are prepared with precision, consistency, and an exceptional presentation.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Inventory & Budget Management: Oversee inventory, portion control, and waste management to maintain cost efficiency and minimize food waste.
- Quality Control: Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of ingredients.
- Customer Engagement: Occasionally interact with guests to understand their preferences and gather feedback to improve the dining experience.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a high-volume or upscale dining setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
