**Location**: London, ON

**Schedule**: 32-40 hours per week; various shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays

**Summary of Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Working in a supported-independent-living environment with adults with developmental disabilities to support community integration/engagement and independence
- Full coordination, leadership, and operational oversight of care plans that support involvement in person-centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth
- Facilitate partnerships within the community while advocating for participant needs
- Provide safe and supportive environment for participants requiring varying levels of behaviourial interventions; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
- Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in Community, and/or Social Services (e.g., DSW, SSW, CYC, BSW, Social Sciences)
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support case management
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
- Strong leadership, rapport-building, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team (internal and external), and independently as necessary
- Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
- Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
- Satisfactory current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $27.94 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
