Currently, our growing team is looking for an **Optometric Assistant** who can work with us on a **permanent,** **full-time** basis at our **LMC Brampton** Optometry location.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting patients in person, by telephone, or online
- Booking/Scheduling appointments and making recalls
- Pretesting patients and other auxiliary tests
- Scanning, filing and faxing reports/charts
- Facilitate patient referrals/reports to other healthcare professionals

**Requirements**:

- One year of experience in an optical setting
- High School or College Graduate
- Ophthalmic Assistant diploma preferred
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring, outgoing personality
- Customer service experience is essential
- Must be proficient with computers and monetary transactions
- Able to follow directions and take personal responsibility for actions
- Must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Passion for learning and dealing with people
- Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
