Paralegal (Contract Administrator)

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague, who is driven, accurate and service-oriented, to join our team. In this role you will be relied upon to provide a wide range of support to our business teams and external legal counsel, primarily on contract administration and drafting.

**Position Overview**:

- Manage the contract administration process - responsibility for the entire lifecycle of all contracts. Initiating, drafting and completing all new contracts, managing and updating all current contracts to be relevant to evolving business terms, renewal of all contracts.
- Understand commercial background of transactions; draft, review and revise initial and subsequent contract drafts in collaboration with internal managers and external counsel.
- Be proficient at various types of agreements such as confidentiality agreements, procurement agreements, manufacturing agreements, brand agreements, general sales and purchase conditions & agreements, as well as amendments thereof.
- Manage third party screening process of suppliers and customers.
- Provide contract related training to internal stakeholders.
- Implementing and maintaining an efficient contract management process/system for easy reference to various proprietary contract templates, existing and new contracts and agreements as well as contract lifecycle management.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Canadian contract law (either a degree or Paralegal college diploma)
- 2-5 years of experience in drafting and reviewing legal commercial contract provisions and transactions in Canada
- Consistent eye for detail, accurate and high standards for all work output is critical
- Experience within the Cannabis industry is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize
- Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
