Sales Account Owner

The Account Owner (AO) is the primary point of contact with the customer. AOs are expected to source and develop relationships with new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients to generate revenue for ZIM Canada. AOs advise and optimize customers on optimal service solutions. Using ZIM proprietary methods and software, AO’s drive growth within the organization and generate revenue to meet targets as set by the agency.
**Responsabilities**:
Sales Calls:
1. Meet with clients for negotiating rates and closing deals
2. Deliver sales presentations to key clients
3. Develop strategic sales plans
4. Develop new accounts
5. Maintain relationships with existing clients and ensure repeat bookings,
Forecasting and Reports:
1. Forecast and track key account metrics.
2. Canadian Marketing Report (Weekly)
3. Weekly Target Report
CRM Tracking:
1. Monitor and manage account business volume and revenue metric within ZIM’s proprietary CRM system.
2. Log sales activities within the CRM.
3. Generate forecast figures.
2. Act as backup to team members
**Requirements**:
KPI's
Meeting quarterly sales volume targets
NOR value over target per quarter
New customer acquisition rate per quarter
Meeting reporting requirements as requested.
**Requirements**:
Three to Five Years experience leading sales accounts.
Post-Secondary College (CEGEP or equivalent) or a mix of education and experience
Strong knowledge of the ocean shipping an asset
Ability to travel out of office to meet clients
High level of expertise in Excel/ Microsoft Office.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
