Reporting to the Supervisor, Waste Program, the Labourer I - Transfer Station provides support for the City’s solid waste operations. As a supporting member of the crew, working under close supervision, the Labourer I is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks. The Labourer I promotes the City’s commitment to diversity, inclusions and Truth and Reconciliation within the department, organization and community.

**Responsibilities**:
Duties include but are not limited to: Transfer Station site cleanliness, operation of small equipment, and interacting with the public. This position supports the City waste cart program as necessary. The Labourer I must be able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

**Qualifications**:
Hours of Work: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday to Sunday

Duration: Tentative end date of September 30, 2023
