**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Foreman, Roads Services, the Labourer I is responsible for performing a wide variety of manual tasks within the Roads Services Business Unit under the Infrastructure Management Department. The position uses safe work practices and procedures to carry out assigned tasks and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the work team. This position receives directions verbally and/or in writing and requires motivation working under minimum supervision. This position requires scheduled shift work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Spring clean-up (sweep City streets, parking lots and highway medians).
- Maintenance of roads (crack sealing, asphalt patching).
- Sign repair (wash, new installation).
- Catch basin cleaning.
- Operation of light duty vehicles and equipment.
- Assist in the operation of the Transfer and Recycle Station as required.
- Assist with shop cleaning and general yard clean-up as required.

**Qualifications**:
Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly

Duration: April 22, 2024 to August 30, 2024
