Maintenance Personnel

Responsibilities:

- We are looking for someone who can diagnose maintenance issues and perform basic/intermediate repairs and keep a 35 unit Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge, in excellent physical condition and appearance.
- Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel and restaurant.
- Performs minor plumbing repair i.e. toilet and tap repair ; basic HVAC i.e. low voltage thermostat replacement, some electrical repair i.e. baseboard heating replacement, light fixture repair/replacement, switches, plugs.
- Perform maintenance activities in hotel and restaurant areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment, carpet cleaning, cosmetic items and misc tasks as they arise..
- Conducts minor repairs on windows, appliances, locks and door handles.
- Conducts minor make-ready maintenance on buildings such as painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping and other misc. duties.
- Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required, such as snow removal on sidewalks, cleaning parking lot and around building and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- At times, will have to answer emergency maintenance calls after hours. Must live locally in/near the Selkirk area in order to respond in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role with a good understanding of English, both written and oral.

- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
