Kayla’s Children Centre is looking for enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated swim instructor to join our team. As a swim instructor, you will support the vision of creating the most meaningful and healthy futures for all children, youth, and families by providing a safe aquatic environment for children, youth, and adults who do and don’t have disabilities in a fully integrated setting. You will provide supervision for our non-instructional and recreational aquatics program.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for:

- Monitoring instructional and recreational swimming activities, including: patrolling the pool deck and scanning the water, as well as monitoring patrons and volunteers to ensure a safe swim environment.
- Enforcing the Ministry Health Regulations, maintaining appropriate daily records and documentation, and reporting any relevant information to the appropriate supervisor.
- Carrying an aid at all times, performing emergency rescues to the standard of your certifications, responding to patron inquiries, resolving problems, and performing associated public education duties.
- Setting up the pool deck prior to your shift & cleaning the deck following your shift.
- Attendance at all scheduled staff training.
- Keeping all awards current.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Lifesaving Society Instructors Certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
- National Lifeguard Service

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Work Location: One location
