About the role
Using your expertise in complex mortgage shelf products and insurance product offerings and the interconnection, provide superior customer service. This role supports team members who are front line customer relationship owners, such as Relationship Managers (RM) and Premium Bankers (PB) with training development, customer portfolio reviews as well as joint appointments with the higher value and more complex cases.
**Responsibilities**:
- Strengthen HSBC’s image as a leading lending provider;
- Support Relationship Manager’s and Premium Banker’s to gain more clients confidence and trust in HSBC’s capabilities.
- Assist Relationship Managers (RM) and Premium Bankers (PB) in deepening and growing client relationships through identifying and uncovering client's needs, specific to Mortgage & Insurance, assisting them in presenting and explaining solution(s) to client.
- Assist Relationship Managers and Premium Bankers when clients have more complex needs specific to Mortgage and Insurance.
- Join Relationship Managers and Premium Bankers in meeting clients to provide coaching assistance and/or provide advice, based on technical knowledge while acting as a second point of contact to Relationship Managers and Premium Bankers for specific to Lending & Insurance.
- Improve Relationship Managers and Premium Bankers technical knowledge by effective on-job coaching and training in this space.
- Initiate and conduct educational training with Relationship Managers and Premium Bankers
- Continue to develop and sharpen technical expertise, working closely with the Wealth Development team and product manufacturers.
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of five years of working experience as a product expert in lending and insurance (as a Mortgage Broker, Financial Advisor or Branch Manager)
- Expertise in the Mortgage and Insurance area
- Experience in leading and coaching individuals/a team is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver a strong client experience and provide needs-based solutions
- Analytical skills to review opportunities in portfolios and engage in client meetings with the Relationship Manager or Premium Banker
- Extensive external market awareness of market conditions, new product solutions, and an understanding of current financial market
- Demonstrated ability and experience to correctly identify client needs
- Solid skills to manage consultative sales process
- Team player with collaborative skills
