In your role, as the Technical Pilot, you will be the primary pilot focal for all regulatory type rating activities. Normal duties include liaising with engineering, instructor pilots, flight test pilots, customer liaison pilots and authorities on matters relating to type rating.

You will report on a weekly basis to the Manager, Bombardier Training Services. When reporting or providing updates, emphasis must be placed upon the introduction of new or variant aircraft, modification of existing production aircraft, schedules, and the impact these changes will have upon training programs.

In your role, you will:

- Support the development of the training programs, confirmation of aircraft operational suitability and entry into service for new and variant aircraft
- Provide pilot technical support for negotiations with aircraft systems vendors
- Determine the requirements for pilot training and simulation in support of regulatory operational evaluations
- Advise aircraft program engineers and certification specialists on aircraft systems and procedural changes impacting pilot workload
- Represent Bombardier as a technical expert on training programs in support of regulatory operational evaluations
- Support various aircraft program initiatives post entry into service by assessing the operational impact of changes to aircraft systems and procedures
- Act as pilot liaison to authorities in matters concerning training and operational suitability in relation to operational evaluations
- Reviewing training programs for quality and accuracy

**Qualifications**
- You have the ability to work autonomously and can adapt to ever-changing challenges.
- You have a team spirit, but also capable of working independently
- You have the necessary qualifications for a commercial or ATP rated pilot.
- You possess detailed technical and procedural knowledge of Bombardier production aircraft.
- You hold knowledge of regulatory training requirements and the impact new technology has upon training programs.
- You have a background in SMS, risk analysis or training
- You have experience in quality assurance
- You possess excellent writing skills
- You have great communication skills for sharing complex ideas to audiences with diverse aviation backgrounds.
- You possess enthusiasm about all things related to aviation.
